Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to find out how the form of community participation in the development of tourist villages and what are the policies for developing tourist villages in Toinasa Village. The results of the study show that the form of community participation as the main actor in all stages of planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation activities in the development of a tourist village in Toinasa Village has been going well both from the aspect of utilization of tourist objects and aspects of utilization of tourism products. It's just that public awareness needs to be increased to become a sense of ownership of every program implemented by the government, so that the community has responsibility for the success of the implemented program and will be more motivated at the next stage. As well as how the need for support from other stakeholders such as villages, local government and the tourism sector which have greater resources in terms of finance, partnerships, information, knowledge and technology.
